- Prospective Students
The Developmental Science Doctoral Program in Psychology at Florida International University offers outstanding students the opportunity to pursue original research with our faculty as part of an exciting educational program. Our faculty members have impressive records of productivity, and extramural research support. This is balanced with our continued goal of preparing all of our graduate students for successful careers as researchers in both academic and nonacademic settings.
We appreciate your interest in pursuing graduate studies in our program. As we only admit students during the fall semester, spring admissions will not be considered. It is also important to note that the deadline for admission is always December 1st; this is nine months prior to the Fall term when students enter the program. Further, students become involved in research during their first semester and continue their research while they complete required and elective courses. For this reason only those individuals able to work full-time toward the doctorate should apply.
On the pages linked to the left, you will find additional information regarding the program, admission requirements, and application process. If you would like more information about the Developmental Science Program please contact the Program Director, Dr. Shannon Pruden.
